Travel Agency Licence by DTS
Travel Agency license is normally issued by the Department of Tourism Services (DTS). For a Travel business, a travel agency license plays an important role in the authorization of the business. Starting a travel agency business in Pakistan requires a proper license from the Travel and Tours department. Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Ministry of Interior can arrest people who work in Pakistan without a travel agent license. Travel agencies, tour operators, or Umrah organizers cannot operate legally in Pakistan without having a travel agency license from the Department of Tourist Services (DTS). The activities of a travel agent or travel agency that does not have a license or registration with the appropriate authority are considered illegal.

Travel Agency Licensing Process:

First, you are required to decide whether the Travelling company is a Single Member Company (SMC) or Private Limited Company (consisting of two or more owners). If the company’s owners are two or more persons then all directors/partners are required to submit the necessary documents.

- A Bank Certificate indicating a minimum Capital of Rs. 400000/-
- Attested NTN copy.
- Attested copies of the premises, showing its rent or your ownership on it.
- For Partnership Firm, copies of Registration Certificate and Partnership Deed duly certified by the Registrar of Firms.
- For Limited Company, attested copies of Incorporation Certificate.
- CNIC copies of Proprietor, Partners, Directors, Chief Executive, or Manager.
- Form-A, and Form-29 duly certified by the Registrar of Companies and Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- Office plan: space, counters and show windows, and branches (if any).
- List of staff, their roles, CNIC copies, qualification, training, and experience certificates.
- A written statement of assets and liabilities.
- Registration copy of 800cc car.
